I am (currently) a 71 year old retired accountant, Vietnam veteran, husband, father, and grandfather. I read a lot and like to write. I have been told I am a good writer because I write like I talk, which must mean I am a good talker, too. History was always my favorite subject in school. I am also a numismatist, which differs from a coin collector in that numismatists spend about as much time studying the history behind their coins, or related to their coins, as they do accumulating them. They also usually have one or more themes, and are not all that interested in high value. Some are, the ones with money, but those like I am don't have enough money to worry about long term investing. We collect and study what we like. Sales tax tokens, hard times tokens, and civil war tokens are areas I am interested in. I like the look and feel of copper coins about as well as silver. Don't have any gold, costs too much. Might be a good investment, but the stock market is better and that's where I invest. I had an article published in The Numismatist once, and was complimented by the then editor on it. It was called Hadacol Man, about Dudley LeBlanc, and was inspired by a fifty cent sized food for token for purchase of Hadacol.
