This is a list of people called John who have had articles about them written in the Encyclopaedia Britannica and whose articles have been given titles (in an apparent main and subtitle system) that, following the name and titles of the individual, give indication of more than one area of the person's involvement.
The listing, at time of article creation, contains reference to 120 people called John. The list was complied with reference to results of a search accessed by web address: "http://www.britannica.com/search?query=john
". 181 results pages (and 1810 results) were scanned with an estimation of 1530 of those articles containing biographic content on people with the given name "John".
