Dr. Gökhan Silahtaroğlu was born in Manisa,1967. He graduated from Plevne Highschool prior to entering Turkish Military Academy. In 1987, he graduated from the academy as a Luetenant and worked in Turkish Army until his resignation in 1991. He attended Istanbul University EFL department between 1991 - 1995. While working as an English Language teacher at different schools, he got M.Sc in 1999 and PhD degrees in 2005 in Istanbul University. Research areas: Information Systems, Data Mining, E-Activities and Applications.
