Habib Rezaie was born in a village beside Zohreh River in the south part of IRAN (Khuzestan) in 1978 and grew up in a highly colorful world. His first aesthetic experience was that of a non-figurative art; authentic, popular and simple. Entering the Superior School of Fine Arts in Isfahan (the Art University) in 2002, he began to experience a new world of color and space. He painted all of the wonderful nature of Isfahan as well as Zayandehrud River, integrating them with a subjective space that had been rooted in ‘lur’ women in his area. The caves of Lurestan, mythological cave paintings and women’s tattoos having been rooted in such paintings helped him find and develop this new subjective world. In fact, his painting is the result of researching on MYTH and POPULAR LIFE. Cave paintings in Lurestan take him into a mythological space that could be seen in local women’s tattoos. The relationship among these mythological elements, rock paintings and Lur women’s tattoos create a terrible space. He is trying to obtain a new structure by searching through the ethnic history. Certainly there is no sign of myths in such a structure. This is a construction composed of visual elements that seeks a new space at the heart of modern thought.
Although these works could not be categorized as mythological ones, one may face the signs of them briefly
