UBCO Nechako Residence

Nechako Residence is a newly constructed building located at The University Of British Columbia Okanagan Campus (University of British Columbia (Okanagan Campus) ). The name Nechako originates from the Nechako River which runs down parts of coastal BC. Construction started in the spring of 2019 and was built with a budget of 50.95 Million. The doors opened to students in August 2021.

Facility Description
Student residence units The new building includes residence beds for students living on campus.
Dining hall and convenience store Nechako features a 500-seat dining hall with central kitchen, as well as a convenience store.
Common area & study spaces The commons block offers social amenities for students in residence, as well as bright study spaces.
Student housing front desk Nechako houses the Student Housing and Conferences front desk for residents and seasonal hotel guests.
Business operations offices Offices for Student Housing, Residence Life, Conferences and Food, Parking and Building Services.
