Dr. Alan S. Hoback, PE is Professor of Civil, Architectural & Environmental Engineering at the University of Detroit Mercy. Dr. Hoback works in diverse and interdisciplinary areas within the theme of sustainability. Dr. Hoback has published and supervised student research in several areas of Civil Engineering including Structural, Geotechnical, Materials Science, Transportation and Environmental. Additionally, Dr. Hoback has collaborated on teams with psychologists, architects, sociologists, economists and health professionals.
