Howard K Grossman (aka Howard Grossman) is a television and motion picture producer known for The original Beach Boys Concert on the Mall in Washington DC which he produced live (over 500,000 fans in attendance) and executive produced and sold to HBO as The Beach Boys Celebration Concert, Sam Shepards TRUE WEST starring John Malkovich, The Dining Room starring William H Macy, Heartbreak House on Showtime starring Rex Harrison and Amy Irving, "Apprentice to Murder" starring Donald Sutherland, "Billy Joel Live From Long Island" on HBO, "Album Flash" the series on Cinemax/HBO, Coca Cola's "Stage Side TV" starring Ne-Yo, "Click & Clack's, As the Wrench Turns" PBS' first prime time animated TV series (based on NPR's "Car Talk". He has also worked with and sometimes produced Carl Wilson, Todd Rundgren, Grace Slick, The Thompson Twins, Sister Sledge, Denise Rich, Coretta Scott King, Ken Russell, Sir Richard Attenborough, John Briley, Arianna Huffington, Bill Kroyer and others. He works with major authors, writers, directors, musicians, animators as well as independently owned venues.

Early Years and career Launch Born in York, Pennsylvania, Howard's father Jack Grossman put him on the waiting list for the Coast Guard reserve to assist him in not getting drafted into the army and going to Vietnam. Grossman served in the U.S. Cost Guard for fourteen months based in Governor'Island, NY and then Honolulu, Hawaii and he was then honorably discharged after competing his reserve commitment. He then moved to Boston and graduated from Emerson College. After Graduating from Emerson he met Mort Werner then Vice President of programming for NBC in New York. Werner introduced Grossman to studio executives in Burbank. this gave him his first job in the mail room at The Burbank Studios (aka Warner Bros Studios) where he met Frank Marshall and Peter Bogdanovich and worked as a P.A. on "At Long Last Love. Marshall then introduced a young Grossman to Orson Welles where he worked closely with Welles on "The Other Side of the Wind" where Welles also cast him in the role of Charles Higgam. Grossman was then hired to produce his first feature film "Julie of the Wolves" by the late Darryl Zanuck's protege Genevieve Gillazeau aka Genevieve Gilles. Shortly after Grossman began working with Arianna Stassinopoulos on a book called "The Long Lost Friend" which Grossman eventually produced into a motion picture starring Donald Sutherland and was released as "Apprentice to Murder".

PERSONAL Grossman had an early and short marriage to Agapi Stassinopoulos when he lived with in Los Angeles in the 70's, that's how he met her sister Arianna, who became Arianna Huffington who he worked with later. In the 80's Grossman met artist Marilyn Fiala whom he married and they have a daughter Susan aka Suz Grossman who is a producer of the award winning documentary "Butterfly Girl" and produces commercials and lives in Brooklyn, NY. Howard and Marilyn reside in Connecticut.

PRESENT DAY Grossman is currently producing and developing projects with Robert A. Harris the former president of Universal Studios Television.
