Messier 109 is a barred spiral galaxy about 41 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major.
I wanted to save this until it was put on the site, but I suggested a name for Messier 109. I feel like that guy that suggested the name for the Sombrero Galaxy (M104). I think Hartmut Frommert will suggest my name to the IAU, so maybe someday it'll be the title of the M109 artical. I also suggested name to Messier 100 and Messier 94. I'm not going to revel the name I suggested unti it's on the site, so I don't get your hopes up. But this is the site [1].
