Being from a poor family, it was my mother’s blessing that I studied and have come up to this level. My Mother and my grandmother supported me to study because, I was a bright student in the class and the teachers asked my mother not to discontinue my studies at any situation. Later I continued the studies with the support of my brothers. I was Class first in Xth Standard and first among the Male students in Class XIIth. I had won trophies for the school in Quiz programmes and Essay competition in district level for our school. I was first in state level examination for my age group conducted by Bibilical Centre,Tindivanam during the visit of Pope John Paul II in 1986.

After completing my Diploma in Electronic Engineering at Nagerkovil I worked at Chennai and then at Mumbai for 15 years in Medical instrumentation Industry. Travelled throughout the country due to my nature of job and got a chance to study different cultures and vibrant India. Travelled abroad few times for work related and got a chance to compare different cultures. Now I am at Chennai again, and in Social service sector.

During my school days I liked History and Geography along with Tamil Literature. It was my burning desire to write about the traditional information about my village, its knowledge, its fishing techniques, and its culture from my childhood. I got the time now, to write about my village and its culture. Most of this information is collected from my Father who is no more now, My Brothers, My brother in laws and the elders from Idinthakarai. I have decided to document this information so that it will be useful for the younger generations and the information are preserved for generations.
