Here's a list of images on the English Wikipedia that have been listed as broken in this report but have not been tagged with Template:September 2008 image loss|September 2008 image loss for some reason, either because they've been fixed or deleted since the 19th, because I just missed them in my initial tagging run or because, despite the reported error, a working full-size image nonetheless appears to be present. These still need careful one-by-one review:

• If the image has been fixed or has been deleted for a valid reason, please just strike it out.
• If the latest full-size version is missing or truncated to zero bytes, tag the image with Template:September 2008 image loss|September 2008 image loss (or fix it yourself if you can).
• For other cases (particularly those listed as "size mismatch"), please try to document the exact nature of the error as far as you can figure it out. Please be careful if you try to fix them — careless reuploading or deletion might result in potentially recoverable data being lost.

It seems as if the "size mismatch" errors I've checked so far all admit one of two explanations:

• a) Someone has uploaded a new version of the image, but there's no entry in the upload log and the database still describes the previous version (which is probably lost).
• b) The latest version (or all versions?) have been silently replaced by an older version, with the database still describing the state before this occurred.

It's possible that there are other causes for the mismatches, but if so, I have no idea yet what they might be. In any case none of the images I've reviewed so far present symptoms that would directly contradict both of these explanations.
