Creative Reach Artistic Paradigm[edit]

A term coined by youtuber, artist, actor, model, professional beat-boxer, and biochemist Josiah (Jazza) Brooks.[edit]

Creative Reach Artistic Paradigm, or (CRAP for short) refers to the theory that the further away the a medium is from the canvas, the more creative the artwork will become. It can be assured that by using CRAP, you can create fantastic artworks.

It is hypothesized that this relationship will continue exponentially. Although no equations have been written in support of this theory, researchers are working tirelessly to create even more evidence in support of it.

So how does CRAP work?[edit]

First begin by taking the medium that you’ll be using to create this artwork. Firmly attach it to a long, thin object of your choice. The way in which your tools are placed against the pole is very precise; a 45° angle is the preferred attachment. Studies also show that the use of two hands will create more stability in your artwork, therefore allowing the creative process to blossom even further. However you may find your grip on the pole will adjust according to the length in which you are using.

It is also important to note the space in which you plan to create in. As stated by Brooks himself, “One must always allow room for their creative thrust when applying the paradigm.”

Without the proper workspace, the CRAP process will not be fully complete. And therefore, your artwork will not reach maximum creative capacity. However, the best quality of CRAP is that you can modify it to fit your own personal needs.

The Origin of CRAP:[edit]

For centuries artists have been said to create in exactly the same way... gripping their tools close to the tip. One day however, A man by the name of Bobert Ross III came across a new technique; grasping near the end of a paintbrush. And since then, this technique has been reformed and perfected over time. Remnants of Ross’ idea are still relevant today within CRAP.
