To quote the great William Lloyd Garrison: "I am in earnest; I will not equivocate; I will not excuse; I will not retreat a single inch and I WILL be heard." The contemporary struggle against ISIL/ISIS and Boko Haram is a struggle against regression, malevolence and, above all, pure, incarnate evil. It is also a struggle for good: the assertion of enlightened values, like women's rights, LGBTQ rights, freedom of religion and the freedom of speech. We in the West, and indeed our friends in the Middle East and around the world, must unite: Atheists, Agnostics, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Mormons, Scientologists, Jehovah's Witnesses, and all other religious denominations, must collaborate in all ways to thwart, obliterate and forever eradicate from the Earth these two pestilential parasites. We must support the brave men and women who serve in our armed forces, who stand on the front line in this struggle to defeat the enemy and to assert the values that we sometimes take for granted. Furthermore, our struggle takes place not only in Iraq and Syria, but in our own neighborhoods: we must spare no expense in truly punishing those who pledge allegiance to ISIL/ISIS, Boko Haram on any other evil organization. ANYONE who pledges allegiance to these draconian organizations must be put on trial for treason (among other offences), stripped of their citizenship and either placed behind bars for life or given the death penalty. We must also fully support the brave men and women of our police forces and of our intelligence communities, who put their own lives on the line everyday so that we can be safe. We must also support the hacktivist group Anonymous, who is doing its part in this fight by hacking into the social media profiles and sites used by ISIL/ISIS, Boko Haram and all other terrorist organizations.

The time has come for us to "take our gloves off" so that we can vanquish these enemies and so that we may guarantee a future that we and our descendants deserve: namely, a global society founded upon western, enlightened, democratic values. In Dawkins we trust (talk) 15:30, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
