My Relationship with Brunia[edit]
I am... not a botanist, or a resident of South Africa. So you might be wondering: Why Brunia? Why now??? I have seen this plant only once in my life: at a restaurant. It was used as a centerpiece, and as an american, its form was super alien to me and I had no frame of reference for what it could be.
I did the only thing I could do: put it on iNaturalist and try to get an identification.
And yeah, it turned out to be B. noduliflora, for which there was no wikipedia page at the time. So I made it. And thus I am plagued by Brunia on the daily because I know I have to make the page better, make more pages, and that I have the research skills to do so lmao
