Bo Velvet And The Desert Snakes were a gag band formed to perform on "Dr. Mazeppa Pompazoidi's Uncanny Film Festival And Camp Meeting" on KOTV (channel 6) in Tulsa in 1970, Oklahoma. Additionally, they had three live performances as part of the "Mazeppa Revue" in Pryor, Oklahoma, Joplin, Missouri and Tulsa, Oklahoma in summer 1971.
