Instantiations is a founding and active member of the Eclipse Foundation and an IBM Business Partner. Since the launch of its first Eclipse product in 2001, Instantiations has developed an extensive line of products for Eclipse, IBM Rational®, JBuilder® and MyEclipse®. Instantiations also acquired worldwide development and distribution rights to the VisualAge® Smalltalk product line from IBM in 2004, and continues development and support for that product under the brand VA Smalltalk™.

Instantiations provides Eclipse plug-ins for Java developers, including CodePro AnalytiX™ for quality improvement, static code analysis and JUnit testing; WindowBuilder Pro™ for GUI building using SWT, Swing or GWT; WindowTester Pro™ for automated testing of SWT or Swing GUIs; CodePro Profiler™ to identify performance problems; and RCP Developer™ to develop, test and package applications leveraging the Eclipse Rich Client Platform. In addition, the company offers VA Smalltalk, a VisualAge-compatible development environment for creating portable, multi-tier applications using object-oriented technology.
