EUROFISH

What is Eurofish?
EUROFISH is an independent international organisation which became operational in 2002, succeeding the FAO EASTFISH project established in 1996. The mandate of EUROFISH is to assist the development of fisheries in Central and Eastern Europe focusing on trade and marketing, processing, and aquaculture.

The objectives of EUROFISH are to:
• Provide market and trade information
• Promote high quality, value-added fishery products
• Produce relevant and timely publications
• Develop training programmes and capacity-building projects with governments and sponsors


EUROFISH has 12 member countries:

Albania
Bulgaria
Croatia
Denmark
Estonia
Italy
Latvia
Lithuania
Norway
Romania
Spain
Turkey

along with

Hungary and Poland

who have signed the Eurofish agreement but not ratified it



Eurofish publishes a wide variety of regular publications.One of them is the Eurofish Magazine.

Eurofish Magazine
The EUROFISH Magazine is a glossy, full colour, bimonthly publication and has the widest distribution among the fisheries press in Europe. The magazine features regular profiles of the fisheries sector in European countries, trade and market reports, processing and technology, aquaculture, news and reviews of major exhibitions and conferences. The magazine is produced jointly with a German publisher, Fish Publishing House and is distributed to 5,000 addresses, mainly in Europe. Subscription (6 copies a year) costs €85.
