There is no doubt that nursing is dynamic with enormous wealth of knowledge, but at times what we are seeing in practice is totally different. My question is how do we achieve uniformity in our practices? For instance, we were taught not to aspirate when giving intramuscular injections (locate the area, clean area and go 90 degrees), but in practiceice I found nurses still doing the opposite- aspirating before injecting their patients. How, can create uniformity in practice as advanced practice nurses and not being seen as antagonist?
