Diesel Loco Shed, Itarsi
Diesel Loco Shed Itarsi was established in 1964 with beginning of holding 40 Diesel Locomotives.It is now rated as one of the premier shed of Indian Railways.
The Diesel Loco Shed is now homing WDP-4, WDM‐3A, WDM‐3D and WDS‐6. But with the Railways electrification project, the shed is also homing some electric locomotives like WAG-5. A full-fledged Chemical and Metallurgical Laboratory has been established in this shed.
Two Effluent Treatment plant and Incinerator are also available. It also has canteen facility for the staff members.
