Greetings. I'm John Burke, a professor at the University of Vermont (Burlington, USA). Currently, I am doing a sabbatical year at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute in the UK, working with Alex Bateman and Paul Gardner on families of noncoding RNA molecules.

1791 is either the year I was born or the year my university was founded; I can never remember which.
