Why, hello there my name is Jade Bowles... Oh so you’re interested in me? Well I am currently a college freshman at Georgia Southern University. Georgia Southern University is a mid-sized university in the middle of no where. This university has been named a party school. This is not true, there are many activities provided at Georgia Southern University that outweighs the drinking and partying life. I do not contribute to the party lifestyle. I enjoy staying at my dorm, cozying up to my quilt, and doing the loads of homework that my professors dump on me everyday. I have received a Work Ready Certificate, Most Improved in Orchestra, Student of the Year and Most Technical in Taekwondo.
So you WISH you could dance?
[edit]I am majoring in Graphic Design and minoring in International studies. My interests include traveling, culture, cuisine, design, martial arts, dance, music, and photography. I have always had an interest in the arts. Doodling in my pages while taking notes has always been a pastime for me. I’ve dabbled in chorus, drum class, piano, and the orchestra. Viola is the one instrument I have taken a strong interest in. I think it is so interesting how beautiful a viola sounds in the orchestra but when you take it home and play by yourself, it sounds like a dying cat. Dance is something I absolutely adore. I particularly favor popping, breaking, and brain banging. I try to dance, but sadly I cannot move my hips and completely massacre this art form. Tagging along with my mom on her business trips, I have traveled throughout most of the United States. I have been traveling since I was little. I would also visit my family out of state. Yeah, I was one of those kids on airplane flights that rode in the back by themselves. I also have been out of the country couple of times. Most of the time I have been to the islands and Mexico, but a year ago I went to Korea(which was literally the best time of my life).
Sharing my knowledge with the world
[edit]So far I have made small contributions to Wikipedia pages such as: Powder Springs, GA, McEachern High School, Wong Fu Productions, and Hmart. I am currently working on a stub about Lotte Mart. So far I have gotten the basic information down, but I want to continue researching about this topic so I can improve my article.
Hey mom can I have a compooter?
[edit]I’ve always had an interest in computers. I’m not saying that I know everything about the internet and computer applications. I just believe that I can say I have more knowledge about computers than the average American teenager. I’ve had a computer since I was about 8 or 9 years old. I remember I had an IBM and used People PC. In middle school I was all about creating the most interesting web pages so I taught myself how to manipulate html codes. My mother is a computer programmer, so naturally she wanted me to take classes about computers. I took 3 years of computer classes in high school, and learned about all the different things you can do with computer programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher. My junior year of high school I developed an interest in graphic design. I have taken 3 years of graphic design classes and have learned how to use Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Movie maker.
I’d also like to thank Wikipedia for helping me through those tough times when…
[edit]Throughout my education I have heard nothing good about Wikipedia. Teachers would always tell us students that Wikipedia is not a reliable source of information and that anyone can edit the articles. So during my years of school I did not use Wikipeda as a source of information for my projects. I did however read information on Wikipedia outside of school. I’ve used Wikipedia on numerous occasions when I didn’t know certain information. When I looked up a topic, an article about it from Wikipedia would be one of the first links on the list. I think Wikipedia is becoming a better place to get information. Now whenever someone edits an article and the information is not correct or has a bias, that edit is requested for deleting. There are people constantly checking for errors in Wikipedia so that the information stays credible. I think Wikipedia is a reliable source of information to cite. Even though the editors are not all paid professionals, I think the quality is pretty good. I think people from different education backgrounds should still be able to make Wikipedia edits. If a person wants to provide people with vast information about a topic, and have truly done research, I say let them edit!
“Oh so you’re part Koren?” “Yes.” “Do you speak any” “No.”
[edit]I read, write, and speak American English. I have taken 3 years of Spanish, but sadly the language did not stick with me and I only know how to say “Hola! Como estas?”.
Just nonsense
