History[edit]

Project Pinball Charity was founded on August 19th, 2013 by Daniel Spolar.[3] While touring Golisano's Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida, Spolar's wife noticed an inoperable 2007 Spider-Man Pinball Machine that the hospital had attempted for eight months to find someone to fix it. Daniel inspected the machine and found that it had been played 21,332 times in two years, a very high amount of playtime. Seeing how important the pinball machine was to the hospital's patients and staff, Spolar repaired the machine and later that year founded Project Pinball Charity.[4]
