Alright Wikipedia fans here is the genealogy of the Cox family as given to me by my grandfather William Goebel Cox:

Captain John Cox born July 25, 1739, married Margaret Davis James Cox was born on Feb. 24, 1763. son of Captain John Cox and Margaret Davis married widow Elizabeth Terrill John Cox was born March 8, 1784, son of James Cox and Elizabeth Terrill married Judith Sexton James Cox was born ca 1810, son John Cox and Judith Sexton married Annie Hanks. Their son Fielden Cox was born on March 25, 1844. Fielden was my great great grandfather.

Now genealogy of Annie Hanks according to my grandfather:

Annie Hanks born ca 1810, father was Fielden Hanks, brother of Nancy Hanks Lincoln. Fielden Hanks born ca 1784 married Lyoia Harper born ca 1778 and was a full blooded Choctaw Indian. Her parents was John and Mary Ann Harper(both full bloodied Choctaw Indians) Fielden father was Abraham Hanks born ca 1745 and he married Sarah Harper. This was also Nancy Hanks parents.

Abraham Hanks along with his twin Choctaw Brother Fielden is immorialzed on the plaque on the hillside behind the Campton Church of God of which I am a member.
