The City Council of Santa Fe is the institution that is responsible for governing the municipality of Santa Fe, Spain. He is chaired by the mayor of Santa Fe, who since 1979 is democratically elected by universal suffrage. He currently exercises the title Juan Cobo Ortiz, of the PP.
Governing bodies
[edit]In the Plenary, the most important issues are discussed and voted on: budgets, municipal ordinances, etc. It is made up of the elected councilors, chaired by the mayor and assisted by the secretary. ↵After the last municipal elections of 2023, the Plenary of the City Council of Santa Fe is composed of 8 councilors of the PP, 7 councilors of the PSOE, 1 of Vox and 1 councilor of IU.[ 2]
