Greetings! I've become interested in helping grow information on Wikipedia. As an archivist living and working in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the past several decades, I have become very familiar with the region and its dynamic history. I'm a Michigan native, being reared in the City of Jackson, and have always been fascinated with migration patters of my ancestors to that region. With these factors in mind I hope to add useful information to pages related to the both the Pittsburgh area and to my native Michigan. I work as the reference archivist at the University of Pittsburgh, where I supervise students to arrange and describe our collections and provide access to our collections to a wide range of researchers. During the Fall 2013 term I'm also acting as an instructor for student interns in the Archives Service Center & Special Collections departments who will be strengthening Wikipedia articles by consulting and referencing source materials in our holdings. This should prove to be an interesting experiment in collaboration!
