According to Choke No Joke's website, http://www.chokenojokeproductions.com, the entrepreneur was "born in New York City and raised in the Bronx. Arthur D. Alston aka "Choke No Joke" entered the entertainment business in 1993 in search of a rap career. During this journey, he gained interest in modeling and acting. While pursuing modeling and acting, Arthur started bringing his video camera on the set of his jobs and started filming behind the scenes. This was the beginning of what made him the legendary videographer, producer, and director that he became. Leaving the modeling and acting to become a full-time producer and director was a great decision because Alston would go on to produce and direct for Streetfunk TV and start documenting the legendary club 'The Tunnel' of NYC. Then he went on to become a videographer and producer for Roc-A-Fella Records, creating the Hip-Hop favorite online series 'Last Days of the ROC'. He also produced for Def Jam Records, BET ('Rap City', '106 and Park', BET specials and creative services) and various companies. That's just a few of his accomplishments along with producing and directing the feature film 'Code Blue'. Later, Alson took on management, brand marketing, and publicity working with various artists, reality stars, clothing lines, and models. Alston's most recent project was a producer on the documentary, 'A Genius Leaves The Hood - The Unauthorized Story of Jay-Z', in which Alston is featured as well. His upcoming project, 'The Hip-Hop Nucleus', is highly anticipated around the world because the 'Tunnel' was frequented by Hip-Hop fans from all over."
