[edit]- March 5th- Good start. All the sources need to be in MLA format (title, author, date, etc...). Here's a good guide. Go back into the BC Library and get all that info. and organize it under "sources" below. The next step is to paste in part or all of the Kayaking Wikipedia page and make changes in this sandbox. Finally, update your work log each week.

Kayaking (part of article being edited)
[edit]Kayaks (Inuktitut: qajaq (ᖃᔭᖅ Inuktitut pronunciation: [qɑˈjɑq]), Yup'ik: qayaq (from qai- "surface; top"), Aleut: Iqyax) were originally developed by the Inuit, Yup'ik, and Aleut.[1][2][3][4]
They used the boats to hunt on inland lakes, rivers and coastal waters of the Arctic Ocean, North Atlantic, Bering Sea and North Pacific oceans.[5][6][7]
These first kayaks were constructed from stitched seal or other animal skins stretched over a wood or whalebone-skeleton frame. (Western Alaskan Natives used wood whereas the eastern Inuit used whalebone due to the treeless landscape)[8][9]
