Article: Ambient intelligence

Link: Ambient intelligence

The article that I chose was Ambient intelligence. This article discusses the use of technology to surround people in both a sensitive and responsive environment. The goal of this article talks about the future of technology, and how with the use of a network based interface has the potential to change everyones lives. Ambient intelligence is not only surrounding the user with technology, but linking all of their technology together.

The article that I read was pretty detailed and stayed on track to what it wanted to present to the reader. The length of the article was just right, presenting enough information about Ambient intelligence without getting the reader off track. As you scrolled down the page there were 13 content points that you could read. This helped me to jump directly to something about Ambient intelligence that I was interested in. The article does a good job of referencing with an appropriate and reliable reference. Whenever a fact was mentioned there was a link to another page in Wikipedia to back up that information. In the beginning, everything in the article was fine. Nothing really got me off track. However as I read more I began to realize that the article talks just as much if not more about the history and examples than it does with actually talking about Ambient intelligence. At this point in reading the article, I began to get a little off track. Although these were brought up towards the end of the article, I think it could have been better if it ended with something to remind the reader about the articles main points. I also believe that the article favors a little too much on the fact that Ambient intelligence is the technology of the future, but for the most part the article is neutral. All of the links in the article seemed to work well and brought me to what the article mentioned. The information that the article talks about is most definitely not out of date. The article discusses the technology of the future, talking about how Ambient intelligence can change the way how we live our daily lives. I do not believe that there was any plagiarism throughout the article, however there were a lot of sources to check between so it is possible that I may have missed something.

To make this article better, I probably would have talked more about the actual technology. I would also have talked more about how it would be possible to connect devices together. overall, "Ambient intelligence appears poised to cause remarkable changes in the way people live".[1]
