[1] The American Library Association first accredited the master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree in 1967, and continued accreditation in 2016. The MLIS degree is available online with select classes also offered on campus. In September 2017, the School became a member of the iSchool Consortium, and added a master of science in information management (MSIM) degree to be offered beginning Winter 2018 semester.As of August 2017, the Dean of the School is Jon Cawthorne, replacing Dean Sandra Yee.[2] The Assistant Dean is Dr. Stepehen Bajjaly.
