Hi Jody

Welcome to the virtual classroom.

You've a lot to contribute, as coach mostly.

As a fellow-coach, your first task is to continue the process of grilling the other active participants.

We've got a new student for you to help with, when you return from your wikibreak. The Transhumanist 22:39, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

I'm ready to work with a student if you will direct me to them. As you may know, I successfully stood for RfA earlier this month so I'm staying pretty busy. However I would really like to link up with someone. JodyB yak, yak, yak 22:00, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

By the way, what wikiskills would you like to improve? You expressed an interest in becoming an admin, and I'm wondering if you have any questions on the 4 main admin activities: responding to reports, responding to requests, patrolling for problems, and department administration. If you do, please let me know. The Transhumanist 22:48, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

Dweller's "quiz"

[edit]

Hi. Glad you're here. Your first assignment is to answer the following "quiz". Because I'm quirky, there are 11 questions. When you're done, please drop me a line at my talk page. Ta.

  1. How long have you been regularly editing Wikipedia?
Since April 2007 as an editor. I have been a user far longer than that.
When (what month) would you ideally want to undergo RfA? --Dweller 17:41, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
  2. Have you had an editor review? If so, please post a link.
None yet? Worthwhile... very worthwhile. --Dweller 17:41, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
  3. Which mainspace article have you (personally) most improved?
Alabama
  1. Do you regularly contribute at:
    a) WP:AFD
Yes
  1. b) WP:RFA
Yes
  1. c) any other project-space areas?
WP:CSD, Recent changes, RFPP
  1. Do you have criteria for adminship when you assess other editors' suitability? What are those criteria?
I like to see enough experience to know that the candidate is able to understand not only the policies but the nuance's of Wikipedia. I want to see someone who has already worked to their fullest using the tools available to the editor and in the areas of vandalism. Recent violations are a big negative and a block is the biggest. If some time has passed and conduct has improved, I am willing to overlook the issues. One key is civility. I do not tolerate rudeness well. If you can control your words you ought not be an admin.
  1. Do you pass your own criteria yet? If not, when do you think you will?
I do.
  1. Please post two diff links to yourself behaving in an "adminlike manner".
here and here.
  1. Please post two diff links to yourself behaving in an "unadminlike manner". I rally hope I don't have any - at least there are none I can think of right now. JodyB yak, yak, yak 22:00, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

Good luck! --Dweller 09:17, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
