Ballpoint lighters are cigarette lighters with a special flint wheel that is easier on the thumb when used.
An example of a manufacturer of this kind of lighter is Société Bic. It started a line of BIC® cigarette lighters that combined its ballpoint pen idea with FLAMINAIRE technology in 1973.
