JOEY L. DOWDY is a multi¬talented, International Choreographer, Artistic Director, Instructor, Performer, Producer, and founder of” Joey’s World Dance Groove” Dance/Fitness/Entertainment, ™ JWDG features an array of entertainment outlets everything from Groovy & Exotic instructional Dance/Fitness DVDs, to fiery stage performances, and a spectacular up and coming television show.

Joey is a graduate of Point Park Conservatory, and an alumnus of Disney's Epcot Center World Dancers where he performed in many ABC Television specials that headlined a list of celebrities both past and present. That list includes many of today’s Top Recording Artists, and a slue of Broadway icons from Television, Stage, and Film.

He has danced and trained with the Joffrey II Ballet, The American Dance Ensemble, Tennessee Ballet, Webster Dance Theatre, PBT Ballet Theatre, Kathryn Dunham's African Dance Ensemble and Spaco Brasil. His numerous choreography credits include a variety of work in Television, Film, Stage, Music Videos, and commercials for Coca Cola (Japan), AT&T, Wal-mart, and Clairol.

Joey’s claim to fame is he is the original choreographer for several of today’s Pop sensations such as, Backstreet Boys, Take Five, The California Boys, The United Nations Dancers, Jessica Livingston, and Miss America “Erica Dunlap."

He has an avid love for concert dance which lead him to an opportunity to create montages for Cirque Du Soleil', Mecda Middle Eastern Association, and Euro/Asian Artistic Dance Theatre. As well as his own original critically acclaimed shows in L.A. such as, "Latin Feet on Fire, *Back 2 The Roots, Living The Dream <A Dance Diary in America> and “Fierce Fire -Dance from Within."

He is author of several inspirational books such as “Sweat 2 Success, and his most recent one Grooves Gone Wild.” His Groove Fitness How To! Program has been featured on Television’s ABC-7, K-TLA, FOX, NBC & QTN. He is also a popular Master Teacher as well as conducts classes regularly in the Los Angeles area. His JWDG Dance Entertainment Theatre™ is quite in demand and headlines at Dance and Fitness convention circuits alike.
