Jon Bergevin is a producer/composer/arranger/pianist/drummer and multi-talented artist. Born October 2nd, 1963 in a Seattle suburb Kirkland, Washington to parents Dr. Joe Bergevin and Susan Ann Rainwater (Bergevin,Malinosky).

Jon has five brothers and one sister and comes from a musical family with ties to the pioneers of Washington state.

Jon began playing piano at the age of six and started dancing at the age of eight. At age sixteen, he recieved a dance scholarship to the prestigious Cornish College of the Arts. He studied piano through sixth grade, then had a four year break from lessons. He came back with a fever when he transferred from the private Seattle boys highschool O'Dea back to his local Lake Washington Highschool. Lake Washington at the time had the #1 choirs in the state under the direction of Jack Kunz. Jon took up lessons again and became the drummer for the jazz choir doubling on piano for various pieces. The group toured the state and continued to win many competitions for the next two years. Jon is now studying with the reknowned Randy Halberstadt of Cornish College of the Arts.

He then attended the Shoreline Community college where he met Matt Cameron (now of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam) fame. Jon and Matt used to play together a lot during this time and did many gigs all over the state with Art "Skip" McDaniels who passed away several years ago. Jon attended classes and became an integral performer in both drums and piano capacities with the various groups at the college. He studied music theory with Gloria Swisher a reknowned musicologist and composer and piano with Nancy Matesky. He spent nearly five years at the college in various roles.

While at Shoreline, Jon took an arranging position with a Mercer Island company to help create a musical called Dance Wax, written and created by Ray Kaltenbach and Camille Chrysler. The team, created 23 pieces of music and eventually opened the musical at the Nipponkan theater, near skid row in Seattle. Many of the pieces of music were recorded by the University of Washington big band under the direction of Roy Cummings. While working with the UW groups, Jon met Scott Mercado of Candlebox fame.

After college he had a production company called Jon Bergevin Music Productions that created music for various TV/Radio and Corporate videos.

In 1989 he joined a company called ACCESS, a communications company. Now called AccessVia where he learned the art of software design and engineering. Writing xBase and C, C++ code for a database publishing software called dSIGN. The job took him all over the country as a consulting engineer helping integrate the software with many different computing platforms.

In 1998 he joined Microsoft as an engineer where he worked both as an individual contributor and team lead for nearly two years. In 2000 he re-joined AccessVia to help bring thier product to the Web.

In 2002 he re-joined Microsoft as an engineer and has been there in both an individual contributor role as well as team architect for the Global Marketing Platform.


Jon has continued to be involved in the music industry by performing with his younger brother Jake Bergevins groups as well as playing solo and small combo gigs all over the North West.

This past year, his brother Joe and he formed a writing team called Bergevin Brothers Music and created a hit song called "Fired Up, Ready To Go" that was picked up by the Obama presidential campaign and used in various capacities by the campaign. During this time, they wrote and produced a Hurricane Relief album called "Seven Songs For America And One For The World" that features Matt Cameron of Pearl Jam and the ever amazing Pastor Patrinell Wright and her Total Experience Gospel Choir and the wonderful vocals of Patrinell Wright, Jake Bergevin, Holly Phillips and Camila Recchi.

They also supplied a film sequence for a documentary called "Barack Obama: The man and his journey" and the two brothers as well as Patrinell Wright both appear in the film as well has have two songs in the film "Fired Up, Ready To Go" and "I Am An American".

Jon continues to be involved in the music industry and is producing new music and working with new artists and talent in his spare time.
