Flowers: Flowers are typically sessile and solitary with actinomorphic symmetry flowering begins in June and continues until September.[1] The flower parts consist of 5 stamen, an ovary with 3-5 carpels, and 5 sepals which are fused to form a cup. [2] Sepals are 2-3 mm long and attached near the summit of the calyx tube.

Fruit: Plants produce dry dehiscent, ovoid capsules between 4-5 mm in length that appear soon after flowering and persist until September.[3] The seeds produced are typically smooth and vary in color from black to brown as well as the amount produced which can be between 30-50. [3]

Globally, Sesuvium maritimum has a conservation status of G5 (Globally secure).[1]
