Born in 1975, Jose Sierra enjoys rock climbing, the outdoors, and oh so much more. He's spent the last ten years honing his design skills, and the last 8 or so years doing advanced web development.

Jose Sierra de Leste is a recognized member of the South Florida community, involved in several subcommunities and founding the South Florida Dubs in 2005.

Jose Sierra de Leste is one of the fixtures of the South Florida rock climbing community, particularly in Fort Lauderdale.

He also founded the South Florida Dubs, a premier Volkswagen and Audi enthusiasts' group, in 2005. In 2006, Jose willingly distributed company shares to the core constituency of the South Florida Dubs, with the intention that the club be run by the members, for the members. He remains involved (albeit peripherally) with the South Florida Dubs as a shareholder and consultant for matters of business development, marketing and design, and more. His companies, http://www.sillysmart.com and http://www.sierraporter.com, continue to co-sponsor the South Florida Dubs along with Wolfcars Parts & Tuning.

Jose was instrumental in the promotion and development of the South Florida Get Together (SFL GTG) during 2006 and 2007 (SFL GTG 14 and SFL GTG 15). SFL GTG is considered one of the largest enthusiast meets in the United States, and is the single largest and most popular in the Southeastern United States, drawing people from as far as Canada.

Jose started rock climbing in late March of 2005, in Fort Lauderdale of all places. A desire to try something new to stay in shape (working out can be *so* boring) led him to try several new sports, including judo, cycling, and rock climbing. Judo resulted in several back and neck injuries (an unacceptable thing at his age), cycling has a very high cost of entry, and so that left rock climbing. Jose's friend Michael K was fairly avid with the climbing, and recommended finding a local gym. As it turns out, the only local gym is a small one near Hollywood, FL called Coral Cliffs.

Jose has been an active member of the South Florida rock climbing community for several years, and has been involved in many projects to help advance rock climbing as a sport.
