Joshua Poro Okello is a Ugandan media personality, actor, a Certified Network Associate with Cisco and General Information Technology Fellow. He rose to fame when he joined Sanyu Fm 2000 Ltd in 2011, the first FM radio station in Uganda. Joshua is also an actor who has starred in CROSSROADS a cancer awareness campaign movie championed by the Uganda Child Cancer Foundation with the support of the Uganda Cancer Institute and Uganda's Ministry of Health. Joshua also starred in Sipi another movie profiling Olympic Gold medalist Stephen Kiprotic but majorly talking about the mudslide in Bududa one of Uganda's districts on the hill slopes of Mt. Elgon in Eastern Uganda.

Joshua was born Joshua Poro Okello on 31 August 1989 in Lira, Uganda. Joshua moved to Mbale District in Eastern Uganda where he championed his lower school education from 1999 to 2002 and later moved to Kampala where he did his University education at both Makerere University and Kyambogo University where he attained a degree in Information Technology and a Bachelor in Arts and Social Sciences respectively. Joshua is a dynamic communications analyst, an Investigator with an objective legal mind and impartial, who’s driven by curiosity about why other nations have a safe communication environment than where he is. With the ability of investigative journalism, story reconstruction, interviewing, knowledgeable on confidentiality, evidence collection, preservation, preparation of in-house reports and News Anchoring among others. He is a self-motivated, result oriented individual, flexible and quick to learn. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Arts and social sciences of Kyambogo University, A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, A certificate in Community Based Sexual and Reproductive Health (CBRH) Services, Certificate in Training of trainers (TOT) in Evidence based peer education, Certificate in Cisco Certified Network Associates (CCNA), Certificate in Information Technology Essentials: PC Hardware and Software and Certificate in Administrative Law, a certificate in networking small and large scale enterprises. Currently Joshua works with XFM which specializes in Broadcast, advertising, education and entertainment. Since he started here he has been working on all story angles from political, social, economic and investigative journalism matters in concert with my head of department among other staff. Joshua has a very wide range of responsibilities including: Collecting the news from the field, writing the stories, interviewing respondents, on air analysis of political social and economic situations and part time presenter. Joshua is also a News Anchor / Reporter and host of Urban Today Show on Urban TV a part of the Vision Group.
