Hey there! My name is Josh (he/him). I am a high school senior from Monmouth County, New Jersey soon to be attending Rowan University, where I will be majoring in community and environmental planning. My main interests are history, urban planning, music, fitness, labor, environmentalism and film. My contributions on Wikipedia typically relate to these categories. My two goals on Wikipedia are to create and/or expand articles dealing with local history and issues, and to spiffy up this userspace.
When it comes to history, I am especially passionate for local history and lesser-known history. Wikipedia unfortunately lacks many articles on these topics, and many of the ones that do exist are short and in need of expansion. For example, I recently read Bernard Diederich'sTrujillo: The Death of the Goat and I wanted to look more into some of the figures mentioned in the book. Wikipedia lacked most of them. Maybe I would have found more information on Spanish Wikipedia, but English Wikipedia is certainly short of content that explores this pivotal event in Dominican history. Similarly, many people, places, and events that occurred in my area lack in-depth, well-written articles.
