Professional Career[edit]

Erik Hutchinson began his career as a Vape Product manufacture in 2012 and his first product was complete by February 2014 and set to release to the public in March of 2014. Erik Hutchinson established a company to sell his products called AmeraVape Technologies, Inc. located in Carlsbad, CA. Erik's vision was to create the world's first "Competition Mod". He named it "The Manhattan". Erik's idea behind The Manhattan Competition Mod was to create a simple yet powerful Mod for the Vapers, for "Cloud-Chasing" who wanted to push the boundaries of Vape. Erik used his product design to establish "Professional Vaping" and "Cloud Competitions". Erik Hutchinson said "he’s organizing competitions like these in order to bring greater awareness to vaping" Erik also states “The people who are in this are almost like born again,” Hutchinson says. “It basically gives everybody a common goal. That’s the thing we all need. United we vape, divided we fall.”[1]

After the release of The Manhattan Competition Mod, his marketing approach, calling his device a "Competition Mod" sparked a worldwide debate which thrusted his company to the top of the Vape Industry, solidifying AmeraVape Technologies as the industry leader in Competition Vape devices. Shortly after the release of "The Manhattan", Erik began sponsoring and hosting "Cloud Competitions" also know as "Competitive Vaping[2]" on the West Coast. On Saturday, March 22nd, 2014, Erik Held a special "Cloud Competition" at a Vape shop in Redondo Beach, CA called Lucky Deuces. The purpose of the event was to select and sponsor the Vape Industries first "Professional Vapers/Cloud Chasers". The team was named, "The Pro Build Team". There was a total of twenty-three "Professional Vapers" sponsored.

On August 26, 2014, Erik Hutchinson established the first "Cloud Competition" on the East Coast, in SoHo New York, NY, at a Vape shop called Henley Vaporium. This Cloud Competition was reported by [3]. Mashable dubbed the event "The X-Games of Vaping[4]" Shortly after, he returned home to officially announce that on September 20th, 2014, the world's first first "Professional Vape Competition" will be held at the AmeraVape Technologies corporate warehouse in Vista, CA. The event was live-streamed worldwide and was reported by "[5]". The event had a seventy-eight person bracket which was a "back-to-back" elimination competition. This event was a charity fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project.

Throughout Erik's career, he developed and produced over eighty different Mods along with a list of other goods. His total reach was seventy-three countries and approximately six-thousand Vape shops. Erik went on to take center stage in large events giving speeches to crowds as large as thirty-five thousand attendees. Erik then went on to organizing rallies and protest at local statehouses along with Washington DC. His goal was to protect small businesses, Vaper's Rights and to take a hard stand against Big Tobacco and Big Pharma. Erik states "the claims by those supporting the bans are steeped in misinformation[6]" who Erik voluntarily ended his career ended in 2017 when the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) declared Vape as a Tobacco product.
