Amru Al-Qays is a crater on Mercury. It has a diameter of 50 kilometres (31 mi).[1] IThe best picture of this large crator to date was taken by Mariner-10 on the first mercury fly-by, given to us by IPC Vision [1] . This 50 kilometer crater is located on Mercury at 13 N, 176 W[2]. Its name was adopted by the International Astronomical Union in 1976. Amru Al-Qays is named for the pre-Islamic Arab poet Amru Al-Qays in honor of his impact on astronomy and the world.
