AA.R.Mohan is born in brought from rural of tamilnadu. He has completed his Fine arts degree in Chennai fine arts college. He has started to work with Padhma bhushan Mr.Thotta dharani as an assistant and continued with art director Selvakumar for the film's like Kireedam (2007 film), Peranmai

He started his debutant film as Pillaiyar Theru Kadaisi Veedu which is critically acclaimed for the production design. He continued his successful journey with all commercial movies.
