Founded by Aayirodi DAMODARAN GURUKKAL, who was an exponent in KADATHANADAN KALARI PAYATTU and VERUM KAI(Empty hand Technics).The head quarters was at VATAKARA.This Kalari is formed to promote Kadathanadan kalari system.Wich includes Uzhichil(oil massage), Meithari(physical exercises),Kolthari(wooden weapons),Ankathari(metal weapons),Verumkai(empty hand self defense)Marmayudha prayogam(locating and striking in vitalpoints with body parts and with secret weapons.And on the other hand doing revivals for vitalpoint attacks)Damodaran Gurkkal and his main disciple Balan Gurkkal organised many Kalari payattu classes all over India. International martialart teachers such as Moses Thilak, RVT Mani,Madhava panikkar, Steefan, Takehisa okabeand Armin loesel were trained under Balan Gurukkal. Balan Gurkkal's son and successor Sunil Kumar is the present head.
