Anna Gruszczynska is among the list of feminists that are a part of the Global Feminism Project created by the University of Michigan. The Global Feminisms Project was created to "create an archive of oral histories from women scholars and activists from four countries: China, India, Poland, and the USA ". More information about this project can be found on the Global Feminisms Website. [1] Anna Gruszczynska was an advocate for gay and lesbian rights in Poland, and started a chapter of The Campaign Against Homophobia. More information about her can be found in the "Interviews" portion of the Global Feminism Website. [2]

The Global Feminisms project interviewed Shahjehan Aapa in 2004, as part of its oral history collection, detailing the stories of Indian feminist activists. In this interview, Aapa explains how the death of her daughter in a dowry burning inspired her to establish and become President of Shakti Shalini, an NGO to counsel and support victims of domestic violence.[2]
