Istanbul Water Museum (ISUM) The museum located in Istanbul, Turkey.
Adell Armature and Valve Factories Inc.'s Âb-ı Hayat Collection, which is now part of the Istanbul Water Museum (İSUM), received its museum authorization certificate from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in January 2021. The museum is located in Başakşehir and has a closed area of approximately 1000 m² where about 1,500 works related to water and water culture from the Roman, Ottoman, and Byzantine Periods are exhibited. As a member of the Unesco World Association of Water Museums (Wamu-Net), the museum is one of the few in the world with such a collection. The Istanbul Water Museum is an important institution for promoting Istanbul and Turkey and a sustainable social responsibility project aimed at promoting water and bath culture from the past to the present, raising awareness about water usage, preserving disappearing values, creating a permanent environment, and fostering memory.
