Kevin Standlee is an active participant in the affairs of the World Science Fiction Society. He has chaired the WSFS Business Meeting in 1995, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009.[1] He is currently the Chairman of the WSFS Mark Protection Committee and is a member of numerous other WSFS committees. He co-chaired ConJosé, the 2002 Worldcon,[2] and he was Fan Guest of Honor of Cascadiacon, the 2005 NASFiC.[3] He also was one of the administrators of the Hugo Award in 1993, 1994, and 2002.

Besides his interest in science fiction, fantasy, and related subjects, Kevin has an interest in parliamentary procedure (useful when presiding over the Society's business meetings), and trains and rail transit, with an occasional foray into road-geekery.

Kevin lives in Fernley, Nevada with his wife, Lisa Hayes. Kevin works for Menlo Worldwide in the San Francisco Bay Area as a Logistics Solutions Engineer. Despite rumors to the contrary on account of his knowledge of parliamentary procedure and support of Canadian Worldcons and Westercons, Kevin is neither a lawyer nor a Canadian.

Kevin maintains a personal blog on LiveJournal.
