Tom Keefe (b.1973) was born in Wakefield and raised in nearby Peace Dale, RI. A graduate of Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Tom pursued a degree in history and completing an independent course of study on US Government Policy toward Native Americans. While at SJU, Tom also completed a course sequence on Comparative Theology. Later earning the Lyndon Baines Johnson Award for Congressional Internships, Tom also worked at the U.S. House of Representatives. He has taught English, Religion, and History at a variety of schools in MA, RI, and CO. Completing his Master's in Diplomacy from Norwich University, Tom has focused his continuing research on genocide education, social justice, and comparative theology. He also has a doctorate in education and his dissertation topic focused on organizational mission statements. He currently resides in the Denver metro area where he is an Associate Professor of Humanities at the Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design and publishes a blog on This Day in Genocide. Tom is also the author of Bashir the Boxer Turtle, a children's storybook and primer for topics on discrimination, as well as several other books including the novel This Day in Genocide, This Day in Peace, My Journey: A Life According to God, and This Day in Donald: The 140 Character President of the United States.
