I'm a 50-ish software engineer, with interests in electronics, aviation, and navigation history.

I have worked on embedded systems, gaming systems, and field force devices. I have designed for touchscreen systems since 1990.

As a hobby, I have spent several years slowly working on a book on the history and design of manual flight computers. I have collected hundreds of items, over five hundred patents, four hundred books, and countless articles, manuals and advertisements dating back to before 1900. I have also been in contact with the families of some of the most famous designers, in order to gain important background information. One small piece of this information is now in the history section of the E6B entry.
