Lewinsky also serves on the Medical Advisory Board of The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura, a cancer support organisation.[3] Lewinsky is the father of Monica Lewinsky.[4]

Personal life

[edit]

Lewinsky's parents were German Jews who fled Nazi Germany and settled in El Salvador.[5] Lewinsky was born in San Salvador.[6] The family moved to the United States in 1957, when Lewinsky was 14.[5]

Lewinsky married Marcia Kaye Vilensky, his first wife, in 1969. They had two children - Monica, in 1973, and Mark, in 1977. The couple divorced in 1987. Marcia Lewinsky now goes by the name of Marcia Lewis.[7]

Photography

[edit]

Lewinsky is also an accomplished photographer.[8][9] His photographs are displayed in a "healing art gallery" at the West Hills radiation therapy center and in 20 medical offices across the country.[6] Lewinsky has published a book of his photographs. Proceeds from the sale of the book go to the American Cancer Society.[10]

Role in the Lewinsky scandal

[edit]

Lewinsky organised a legal defense fund for his daughter, announcing it on the Today Show.[11] Lewinsky and Lewis both received "transactional immunity from prosecution" as part of the agreement reached for Monica Lewinsky's testimony.[12]
