Navin Manogaran (நவீன் மனோகரன்), (born 31 July 1982) is a Malaysian Tamil writer and journalist. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Vallinam Magazine. For his controversial 2019 novel 'Peichi'; The Malaysian government imposed the ban in 2020. Malaysian and Tamil Nadu organizations have condemned the ban. He has written works that have attracted the attention of many in Malaysia. In the Malaysian context in his legends; Biographical traces of Malaysian Tamils can be seen intertwined. Born in Kedah, Lunas, Malaysia. Wellesley completed his primary education at Lunas Estate Tamil School and his secondary education at Lunas Middle School. Father Manogaran. Mother Peichi. Both have a habit of reading. He has a sister. At the age of 16, the writer M. A.Ilanchelvan. Involvement in the reading habit developed out of youthful friendliness. Writer Ilanchelvan was the inspiration for his literary journey. Navin later moved to Kuala Lumpur.

Career[edit]
He joined the Teacher Training College in 2002 and underwent three years of teacher training. He later obtained a diploma in the field and served in the schools of Batu Caves Tamil School and Melawati Tamil School. Following that, he is currently working as a teacher at the Sungai Rambai Estate Tamil School in Selangor.
Involvement in journalism[edit]
M. Navin ran for about two years in the popular monthly magazine 'Mannan'. He was the co-editor of the literary monthly 'Love'. The magazine was published for about 10 months. 'Vallinam' started publishing in 2007 based on alternative literary endeavors. This magazine has been an online magazine since 2009. The journal 'Parai' was published quarterly from 2014 under his supervision and stood with 6 issues. Malay / Chinese Literature, Riverine, Eelam Literature, Civil, World Literature. He was the editor of the bi-weekly newspaper 'Mugavari'. Published under the administration of the Tamil Nation. This biweekly newspaper stood out with five publications.
Literary activities[edit]
During the period 2009-2018, he has been introducing Malaysian and Singaporean personalities through an event called Art Literary Festival in collaboration with friends. He has worked in various fields of art such as painting exhibitions, photo exhibitions, stage plays, and book launches. So far, he has directed documentaries on 14 Malaysian-Singaporean personalities.

He has so far published 39 books through Vallinam Publishing. Creating a publication for students called Jaffna Publishing House and textbooks; He also publishes course texts.
Other contributions[edit]
Documentary' - Interviewed several writers aimed at documenting the biographies of Malaysian and Singaporean writing personalities. He later documented the interviews. So far he has produced 14 documentaries.
