Groupe Bimo (Biscuiterie Moderne), founded in 1981, is an algerian company specialized in biscuit, chocolate and cocoa.
History[edit]
The first factory was opened in 1981 in the Baba-ali industrial zone in the south of Algiers. It was called Nouvelle biscuiterie moderne (Bimo) (French for New modern biscuit). The company experienced rapid growth in its productive activities.
Bimo, then expanded to chocolate. A new manufacturing unite dedicated to chocolate and végécaos was created in 1986. The company soon became the national leader in these products.
The company opened in 1997 the first cocoa beans treatment and transformation unit in Algeria, that will produce its own factories and other businesses in Algeria.
