Mahmoud Agha Zebari (1881-1979) Mahmoud Muhammad Mustafa Agha Zebari was born in 1880 AD. Mahmud Agha lived most of his life in the villages of Bani and Al-Nabkhi, developed patriotic feelings in his youth, stood against the oppression of the British invaders, and defeated the British Governor Captain Scott and Mr. Bell at Badinan Distirct In 1919,[1] he started the revolution against the English in Badinan in the Aqrah and Zibari region, and with the support of his tribe, he was able to appear as a symbol of the Zibar tribe in history. All large families have their own constitution and rules, Mahmud Agha always considered his nation and tribe as his family, and in his culture the poor and the rich were equal. After the death of Faris Agha in 1941, Mahmoud Agha became a leader of the Zibari tribe, and in 1946, during the Iraqi monarchy, Mahmoud Agha became a Member of the Iraqi Parliament, and many service projects were implemented at his request, and they were implemented in Aqrah And Zibar. Mahmoud Agha recorded several revolutions throughout his life, including the Birkabra revolution and the assassination of the British rulers, the Shakles revolution in eastern Kurdistan in the war between Shakak and Ajam, who killed the Ajam leader Kazu in 1920, and the story of Shiva Harchi with Barzani.
Mahmoud Agha died in Mosul on March 10, 1975, at the age of about 95 years old, and was buried in the Aqrah cemetery without the presence of his family and clan.
Mahmud Agha Zebari is father of Hoshyar Zebari and Hamail Khan Zebari.[2]
