My article will focus on the expansion of Pentecostalism in Colombia based off socio-economic status. When Pentecostalism first started, it was for the lower class people, and the stigma surrounding the religion pushed people away. Like most other places that had a Pentecostal following speaking in tongues was the true way someone was saved or had a true experience. The Pentecostal churches were on the outside of town; therefore, the people living in the mountains that could not afford to live in the city would attend that church. The location and people who attended Pentecostal churches is the reason why there is a stigma that this religion is for the lower class. The role of women is very crucial when discussing Pentecostalism in Colombia. Since the first church was started by a woman, it became a place for working class women to go. In every article, the role of women for Pentecostalism is brought up. The sources I'm choosing to use discuss both of these topics in great detail.

Can you restructure this into an outline? Remember, this has to be a Wikipedia article when you're done, and can't look like an essay. JMDoran (talk) 18:48, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
